Stronger Indiana
An Indiana First agenda means focusing on the needs of Hoosiers before outside interests or federal pressure. The State House should prioritize affordable living, protecting farmland, strengthening local businesses, and making policy decisions based on what works for Indiana communities. Washington handles national issues, but Indianapolis must focus on Indiana families.
Healthcare and Mental Health
Healthcare costs continue to rise, and Indiana must explore practical, state-level solutions that improve access while lowering costs for families. We also need greater investment in mental health services, especially for students, veterans, and those in crisis, to reduce long-term strain on hospitals and law enforcement. Strong communities require accessible physical and mental healthcare.
Education and the Workforce
Indiana students deserve strong K–12 education rooted in history, civics, and constitutional understanding, along with real pathways into college, trades, law, forensic science, healthcare, and public service. We face shortages in critical professions like doctors, prosecutors, and skilled trades, and we must create state programs that encourage Hoosiers to enter and remain in these fields. Education is not optional in a functioning republic; it is how we prepare citizens to sustain it.
Constitutional Rights
The Constitution protects many of our most fundamental human rights, including free speech, religious liberty, due process, and equal protection under the law. The 14th Amendment in particular affirms that no state may deny any person equal protection or deprive them of life, liberty, or property without due process. Defending constitutional rights means ensuring government power remains limited while protecting the freedoms and dignity of every Hoosier.
Homelessness
Homeless Hoosiers are still Hoosiers, and they deserve dignity, voting access, and opportunities to rebuild their lives. We must focus on practical solutions that connect individuals to employment, housing, and recovery services rather than ignoring the root causes. Addressing homelessness strengthens the entire community.
Our Prison System
Indiana’s prison system should focus on accountability while also prioritizing rehabilitation and mental health treatment to reduce repeat offenses. Workforce training, education, and structured reentry programs can lower recidivism and strengthen public safety. A justice system that balances consequences with rehabilitation ultimately protects taxpayers and communities alike.
Veterans Rights
As the child of a disabled veteran, I understand firsthand the sacrifices service members and their families make. Veterans deserve expanded healthcare access, education benefits, and stronger support systems beyond symbolic appreciation. If we claim to honor our veterans, Indiana must ensure their needs are fully funded and prioritized.
